Launched and managed Porto Romano’s social media presence from scratch on Instagram. Created visually engaging content using Canva, and working on a weekly content series to build audience engagement and consistency.

1) events & Community engagement

Established and hosted the first-ever quiz night at Porto Romano, attracting several groups. This involved:

  • Planning the tone & structure of the event
  • Writing & organising trivia questions
  • Hosting the evening and engaging directly with customers
  • Promoting the event through social media posts and in-restaurant materials

This experience strengthened customer relationships, increased brand visibility, and fostered a personal connection between the business & its audience.

Since the first event a few months ago, the quiz night has become a regular fixture, running every 3 weeks, and has proven highly successful in boosting community engagement and attendance.

2) seasonal menu & promotional design at porto romano

Designed seasonal menus and promotional posters for Porto Romano’s special, incorporating visual branding, layout, and marketing strategy. Created engaging content that enhanced customer experience, increased awareness of seasonal offerings, and supported sales.

Applied Canva and design skills to produce visually appealing and consistent materials across print and digital channels.

3) Social media content & strategy management

I manage Porto Romano’s social media account to increase engagement and brand visibility. Developed and scheduled posts, including seasonal menus, promotions, and event announcements.

Since taking on the social media and marketing manager role for Porto Romano, the restaurant’s online presence has become more recognisable.

Through regular posts and events, customer engagement has noticeably increased. Customers have begun interacting more with posts, tagging us in their stories, and participating in in-person activities.

Over 90 days, the reach grew to 8,294 accounts and generated 89,021 views (+430%), while boosting profile activity to 2,128 actions (+88.3%), significantly enhancing customer engagement and awareness.
